The Marcellus Shale opportunity is a “once-in-a-generation energy and economic opportunity for Pennsylvania”, stated the president of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. The Marcellus Shale formation underlies approximately three-fourths of Pennsylvania, parts of New York, West Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.
